The Railway Children Kindergarten was established by Nicola Johnson in 1998. The nursery is proud to be run by long-term and committed staff. As mothers (and now grandmothers, too), we pride ourselves on our loving and caring approach, while providing a safe and nurturing nursery environment, reassuring to parents who are leaving their toddlers for the first time. We love our jobs and form very special bonds with our children and their parents/carers.

Jo has experience working with children both previously at the Railway Children and at a local primary school as an Admin Assistant. Both of Jo's daughters attended the Railway Children Kindergarten so she has actually been a part of the RCK family for over 17 years;
