Hi Parents/Carers,

Welcome back to the Summer Term.

For some of you, this will be the final term for your child.  It has gone by so fast – and we are so sad to be saying goodbye.  Having said that, this is a very long term so we have lots of time together and lovely things to do.
We will, of course, be preparing the children for their next big step, when they go to school.  So we are making sure we spend time on building their independence in self care as well as fun activities.   We will be carrying on with our New Life topic, and building on it by expanding in to mini beasts and exploring their names and habitats.

We are continuing with our core curriculum activities of all the fun stuff …. imaginative play, creative play, hopefully lots of outdoor play, and also moving on with our letters, sounds and number recognition.  As well as making sure all the leavers are competent in their self care, we will be reinforcing writing their own names and covering all the basics to make sure that when they start school, they are well prepared, excited and confident to be embarking on their next adventure.

We are looking to extend our hours from September, so if anyone is interested, please could you let us know. Please also spread the word with any families that you think may be interested in joining the RCK family.

Half term week is Monday 25th – Friday 29th May.

As the weather is getting warmer, can we give a gentle reminder to put sunscreen on your child, and bring a sun hat in for them please.

Love from Nicki, Ange, Jo and Olga
